UMI's Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography is designed for practicing sonographers who have completed a diagnostic medical sonography diploma or associate degree and want to expand their knowledge and skills in cardiac and vascular ultrasound while continuing to work in the profession.

The program combines specialized cardiovascular sonography coursework with leadership, research, communication, and evidence-based practice to prepare graduates for expanded clinical responsibilities.

Designed for working sonographers, the program combines flexible online coursework with a 600-hour professional internship that may be completed through qualifying employment or an approved clinical setting. With eligible transfer credit, students may complete the bachelor's degree in approximately 15–18 months.
