UMI's Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is designed for graduates of Diagnostic Medical Sonography diploma and associate degree programs who want to advance their education while continuing to work in the profession.
The program allows students to build on their previous sonography education while developing advanced knowledge in healthcare leadership, research, professional communication, and evidence-based practice.
Designed for working sonographers, the program combines flexible online coursework with a 480-hour professional internship that may be completed through qualifying employment or an approved clinical setting. With eligible transfer credit, students may complete the bachelor's degree requirements in approximately 12–18 months.

UMI's Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is designed for graduates of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Technology) certificate, diploma, and associate degree programs seeking to complete a bachelor's degree through UMI's degree completion program.

✔ Meet UMI's transfer credit requirements
✔ Complete the admissions process
✔ Submit official transcripts for evaluation
✔ Satisfy all applicable admission requirements outlined in the Academic Catalog
Transfer credit evaluations are completed individually. Program length and tuition vary based on the amount of transfer credit accepted.
