Payment Plans Overview
United Medical Institute does not participate in federal or state financial aid programs. Students may use personal resources, private financing, or one of the UMI Tuition Payment Options described below.
The Application Fee and special charges, including STRF when applicable, are paid separately and are not included in UMI payment plans.
UMI payment options and terms may change based on institutional policy or third-party provider agreements. Changes do not affect students already enrolled under an approved UMI Payment Plan.
Third-party loan terms are established by the lender and may change at the lender’s discretion.
Important:
UMI does not participate in Title IV federal student aid programs.
FAFSA-based federal grants and federal student loans are not available through UMI.
THIRD-PARTY PRIVATE LOAN
Climb Private Education Loan
Longer Terms • Credit-Based
Students may apply for a private education loan through Climb Credit, UMI's affiliated private lender. Loan approval, interest rate, and repayment terms are determined by Climb. Funds are disbursed directly to UMI toward eligible Tuition & Fees.
Why Choose Climb Credit
Longer repayment options • Potentially lower monthly payments • Financing available up to eligible Tuition & Fees
What to Consider
Credit-based approval required • Interest rates are determined by Climb • Longer repayment terms may increase the total amount repaid
UMI TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS
UMI Payment Plans
Monthly Payments • No Credit Check
UMI offers interest-bearing monthly payment plans with fixed rates and terms of up to 36 months. Plans are available to enrolled students without a credit check; a down payment and a co-signer are required.
Why Choose UMI Payment Plan
Lower interest rates than many longer-term private financing options • No credit check • Available to all enrolled UMI students
What to Consider
Shorter repayment period • Monthly payments may be higher than longer-term private financing
Term-by-Term Tuition
0% Interest • Every 10 Weeks
Pay tuition directly to UMI by academic term with no interest. Term 1 Tuition & Fees are due at enrollment, with the remaining tuition paid before each subsequent 10-week term.
Why Choose Term-by-Term Plan
No interest • No financing costs • No credit check
What to Consider
Larger payments are required approximately every 10 weeks • Payments must remain on schedule to maintain the 0% interest arrangement
Combination Financing
Climb + UMI Payment Plan
Use approved Climb financing for a portion of Tuition & Fees and an eligible UMI monthly payment plan for the remaining balance. The amount financed through UMI depends on the amount approved through Climb.
Why Choose Combination Option
Reduces the amount financed through either option • Provides flexibility in structuring tuition payments • UMI plan applies only to the remaining balance
What to Consider
Climb approval is required first • Two separate payment obligations • Climb and UMI portions have separate rates, terms, and payment schedules
